When visiting Meishan, Chiayi, don't miss the Taiping Suspension Bridge (Taiping Cloud Ladder), a walkway that seems to lead straight to the sky! At 281 meters long and roughly 1,000 meters above sea level, it is one of Taiwan's highest-elevation suspension bridges, spanning between Taiping Mountain and Guishan Mountain. From here you can take in sea of clouds, mountain ridges, the Chiayi–Tainan Plain, and the famous Meishan 36 Hairpin Turns in one sweeping view.

Step onto the Taiping Suspension Bridge and enter a world above the clouds. Starting from Wangfeng Platform in Taiping Village, the bridge crosses the spectacular Sanyuan Rainbow Waterfall. The road to Taiping Suspension Bridge is winding, and public transport from Chiayi TRA or HSR stations requires two transfers. A full-day charter is recommended—you can combine Meishan Taiping Old Street, Huashan Lovers' Bridge, the 1314 Viewing Platform, and other nearby sights for a richer, more relaxed trip.
