Pingtung Tobacco Factory 1936 Cultural Base at No. 1, Tobacco Factory Road, Pingtung City, was originally the Pingtung Tobacco Processing Plant established in 1936—once one of Taiwan's largest tobacco processing facilities. After closing in 2002, the Pingtung County Government registered the entire site as historic buildings in 2017. It opened on February 25, 2022 as a cultural hub combining history, culture, and art, covering about 4.2 hectares.
