Victory Star Village Creative Living Park (V.I.P Zone) in central Pingtung City is Taiwan's best-preserved and largest cluster of Japanese-era military officer dormitories. Built in 1937 as the Japanese Army's Chonglan officers' quarters, it became a military dependents' village after the war.
